Membership ALFAL
Since this month Dr. Sabina Loffler, our director, is a member of ALFAL, (Asociación de Lingüística y Filología de la América Latina)
ALFAL has branches in all latinamerican countries and coordinates the cooperation between linguists and researchers of all linguistic areas. We are very proud of the opportunities that this membership offers to our language school. In this context we are working out our participation in the next XV International Congress in Uruguay on August 2008.
Our participation in this kind of events guarantees that our teaching methods and specific knowledge are up to date, and makes it possible to exchange information with important research and teaching institutions abroad.
Dr. Sabina Loffler (1965) has been teaching Spanish as a foreign language since 1987. She founded Cela after living for several years in Europe, where she was a Spanish teacher in different higher education institutions.
Besides a Diploma in Spanish Language and Literature at the "Universidad Central de Venezuela" and a PhD in Hispanic Philology at the "Universidad de Educación a Distancia" in Madrid, she has a Master Degree in Distance Education from the UNED and is an examiner for the DIE (Diploma Internacional de Español) from the Fidescu foundation and the "Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca" in Spain.
The examination for the DIE can be taken by our students after the completion of their courses at CELA. You will find further information about this matter on the left site of our Homepage.
