The online Spanish course A1 beginner level is aimed at independent learners who wish to learn Spanish at their own pace, but at the same time wish to have a structured course and support from the teacher.
Students determine their own pace and schedule.
The A1 online Spanish course is for students who have no knowledge of Spanish or for students with very basic knowledge who wish to brush up on their Spanish.
If you already have some knowledge of Spanish, we recommend you request our free level test. We will recommend the most appropriate Spanish course for you at our Spanish language school CELA.
The course material consists of 12 lessons with a variety of exercises and activities in each lesson. The grammar explanations are in recorded video lessons and have exercises with solutions at the end of the lesson. These solutions have audio samples for pronunciation practice. Other grammar exercises must be sent by e-mail for correction by the teacher.
The course has many videos from various sources to exercise listening comprehension with exercises to send to the teacher. We work with interesting readings adapted to A1 level with basic vocabulary of everyday life. Reading aloud is corrected by voice message. Writing exercises are sent to the teacher by e-mail for correction.
The cost of the A1 online course is 260 US$ for the complete level. It includes the didactic material (12 lessons), the teacher’s assistance by e-mail and whats app and the certificate.

Who is the course for?
Adult students with little or no knowledge of Spanish who wish to work at their own pace but with guidance and feedback from the teacher. The online Spanish course A1 is available with explanations in English.
What is the course schedule?
The course has no predetermined timetable or duration. Each student can work at his or her own pace. The teacher is available to give feedback and make corrections. However, we recommend making the study of Spanish a habit in order to progress at a steady pace.
How long does the course last?
The course does not have a predetermined duration, but it is possible to finish the course in 3 months if you work at a rate of 20 hours per week. In total 240 hours of study are required to achieve the course objectives. We recommend that you work through the course calmly and quietly in order to assimilate the knowledge.
What do I need for the course?
We recommend having a computer or tablet, as we do a lot of writing in the course. We believe that it is not possible to follow the course with only a cell phone. We will also need a notebook for grammar and vocabulary and a notebook to write down the teacher’s corrections. It is also necessary to have internet access to watch the videos and submit assignments.
Who is the teacher of the course?
The teacher of the course is Dr. Sabine Loffler (1965), author of the material and director of CELA Spanish School. Sabine holds a degree in Literature from the UCV in Venezuela, a PhD in Hispanic Philology from the UNED, a Master’s degree in Distance Education from the UNED, a Specialist in Adult Education from the UNED, she is Spanish teacher since 1992 and Spanish teacher trainer. Sabine is perfectly bilingual German-Spanish because she is the daughter of Germans raised in Venezuela, she also speaks English and Italian.
