I think, no one likes to talk about themselves, but it is also important to know the qualifications of the school who is going to help us learn Spanish, so I will do it briefly:
My name is Sabine Loffler, I am the founder of CELA Spanish School. I am a passionated Spanish teacher. I grew up in Caracas (Venezuela). I did a degree in Spanish Literature at the UCV (Venezuela).
I worked as a Spanish teacher in Germany for 7 years. During this time I did a PhD in Hispanic Philology at the UNED in Spain. I am also a specialist in Adult Education and have a master’s degree in Distance Learning.
In 1997 I founded my own Spanish school on Margarita Island in Venezuela. I have been teaching Spanish since 1992.
In 2010 I decided to complete my linguistic training with pedagogical training in the area of distance education and adult education.
This knowledge, added to the experience of more than 20 years in teaching Spanish, is the basis of the Spanish Distance course that we offer today in our school.
Regarding the history of CELA Spanish School we started teaching Spanish in the modality of Spanish courses in total immersion with tourist activities in Margarita Island, Venezuela, South America. Hundreds of students of different nationalities, ages and professions have studied at our school.
These courses were very intensive, with 25 hours a week. The students made a lot of progress, but once they returned home, they stopped studying Spanish and began to forget what they had learned.
For this reason, since 2000 we started to offer online Spanish classes so that students who had studied with us could continue learning once they returned to their country. This allowed students to continue learning Spanish at their own pace and with perseverance.
Today we are 100% dedicated to teaching Spanish online, developing new course programs that help people who learn Spanish to achieve the goals they have set for themselves.
Our courses provide the necessary common thread when you want to learn a language.
Our Spanish video lessons, which are available to everyone on our youtube channel, provide clear and precise explanations with many examples of the most complicated topics for Spanish learners.
Each student learns differently and has different life and learning rhythms.
Distance learning courses allow students to organize their learning according to their own pace and time available.
Our courses guide the student step by step through written explanations, explanations in video classes, exercises with solutions for self-testing, exercises that receive feedback from the teacher, listening comprehension videos with exercises, texts adapted to each level, pronunciation exercises, audios and much more.
The teacher is available to help at all times.
For oral practice we also offer classic video conference lessons.
